Rising Stars Visit the State House
|
The Millhill Rising Stars enjoyed their State House Tour with Carol Rogers and learned about how government functions in NJ. They also got the opportunity to meet with Assemblywoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson and hear her story of how she got into public service and the impact she is having on the Trenton community.

PEERS Present Workshops on Anti-Bullying
|
Over 300 4th, 5th, and 6th graders participated in activities, including a group art project answering questions like, How can you help someone who is being bullied? Who makes you feel safe? and What may someone feel if they're being bullied?

FREE Preschool for all Trenton residents, including free meals, class supplies, and more! Children must be 3 or 4 years old by Sep. 30, 2023. Millhill is accredited by NAEYC & Grow NJ, with NJ-Certified Teachers and bilingual staff.

Rising Stars Session Focuses on Digital Safety

The Rising Stars had a great session on digital safety with presenter Shayne Judge, learning easy, practical tips to stay safe online and discussing scenarios that teens are facing in our expanding digital world.

STEM Club Students Reverse-Engineer Toys
|
Millhill STEM Club students at MLK Middle School used their engineering skills to take apart wind-up toys, figure out how they work, and redesign them into something new! The students started by taking apart the toys, identifying all the components, and studying how each part interacted with one another. Once they had a good understanding of the mechanics, they brainstormed ideas for redesigning the toy.

Rising Stars Get Intro to State Government from Dan Smith
|
Millhill's Rising Stars met with Dan Smith to learn about how state government functions in preparation for the upcoming State House visit. Dan has many years working with the State legislature and explained how a bill gets passed and how our taxes support local services and programs in Trenton.
